The latest cup anemometer from Thies Clima, the Thies First Class Advanced II, is designed for the acquisition of the horizontal component in accordance with the latest IEC 61400-12-1 (2017) and has an accuracy class of 0.9. It is by far the most common cup anemometers used for both wind resource assessment and power performance studies.
The cup anemometer is optimized for best possible dynamic behavior even at high turbulence intensity and has minimal over-speeding while having a very low starting value.
The cup anemometer is supplied with a Measnet calibration certificate and is fully compatible with all the data loggers manufactured by Kintech Engineering including the EOL Zenith and Orbit 360.
For winter operation the anemometer is equipped with electronically regulated heating offering a smooth running of the ball bearings and prevents the anemometer shaft from icing-up.
Features:
- Class 0.9S anemometer
- Optimized dynamic behavior even at high turbulence intensity
- Minimum over-speeding
- Excellent linearity: r > .99999
- Symmetrical geometry
